We ventured to Long Beach to match race the Catalina 37s. Our team consisted of Erika Barth, Beth Rodic nee Winton, Samantha Treadwell, Tracy Nackel, Sarah Scoffone, Rebecca Harteck and myself. My team was awesome, positive and super competitive!

My preparation for the 2025 Moth World Championship began in April with a training camp supported by America One Racing in Long Beach. With Worlds to be hosted by Fraglia Vela Malcesine in July, we aimed to replicate Garda’s afternoon Ora breeze.

The competitors for the Etchells North American Championship in San Diego left the dock Sunday morning for the final two races of the regatta with a lot of work still in front of them to determine the winner.

The 2025 Etchells North American Championship continued with 3 more races on Saturday. Conditions were more favorable for racing today with wind in the 8 - 12 kt range.

Race 1 finished right where the 2024 North Americans ended, with John Dane in first place, fitting of their boat name “Here We Go Again”. Dane is competing in this regatta with past Etchells World Champion Bill Hardesty and Star World Champion Eric Doyle.

San Diego Yacht Club welcomes 39 teams competing in the 2025 Etchells North American Championships - a 3-day regatta May 16-18.

The 2025 running of the NHYC Palmer Trophy (April 6-8) Grand Master Team Race is in the books. Palmer Cup is a long running 3 v. 3 Team Race for “Grand Masters;” with skippers being >60 years old and crew >50 years old hosted by NHYC.
