San Diego Yacht Club is proud to offer a fleet of one-design J/22s as a unique amenity for our members. These versatile boats serve as a platform for high-quality racing, hands-on educational events, and recreational sailing, all in alignment with the Club’s mission to encourage and foster interest in all aspects of yachting.

The J/22 fleet was born thanks to generous private donations and the visionary leadership of committed SDYC members. The fleet supports a wide range of on-the-water opportunities from youth and adult match racing to team racing, fleet regattas, and instructional clinics. It is a vital part of our year-round sailing calendar. In addition to club, local, and regional events San Diego Yacht Club is proud to host US Sailing match racing and junior’s events in the J/22 fleet.

When not reserved for racing or clinics, the J/22s are available to members for personal use. Whether it’s a casual sail around La Playa, training for an upcoming regatta, or sharpening your team racing tactics, the fleet is ready and waiting. With ample sunshine and warm breezes on San Diego Bay, the conditions couldn’t be better.
