Catalina Cruise

The theme for this year’s special cruise is based on visiting local ports as though a passenger on a luxury cruise liner.
Enjoy yourself like its your own private yacht! We're targeting "the perfect balance of yacht-like intimacy combined with the space, amenities and diversions ..."

There's even an alternative for members wanting to 'Meet-up in Avalon' - we suggest you drive to Dana Pt. on Labor Day or Tues. and join the Fleet in Avalon by taking the Catalina Express ferry. Click here for more information about taking the ferry.

The ‘Ports of Call’ for this Adventure are:

  • Sept. 2-3  - Sat/Sun - Del Mar Basin - Oceanside *
  • Sept. 4-5  - Mon/Tues - Avalon (alt. Meet-up Cruise) **
  • Sept. 6-9  - Wed/Sat - Cherry Cove - Two Harbors

*   For those not able to depart before Labor Day (9/4); you’re welcome to join-up with the Fleet in Avalon.

**  The events in Avalon are also being arranged so that boat-less Members may arrange a Meet-up Cruise to Avalon by taking the ferry over from Dana Point

This year’s events will be a ‘prix fixe’ (single price) with each of the daily activities included in one, simple price for the entire Cruise.  For the combined price of $200/person the following attractions and events await you aboard the Catalina Cruise to Adventure (note: separate pricing for Avalon-only Meet-up Cruise is $140/person).

Our special event in Avalon will feature a private dinner in the new Catalina Island Museum, catered by Steve' Steakhouse - considered the best restaurant in Avalon. The Museum opened in 2016 and currently exhibits dozens of glass sculptures by Dale Chihuly (click here for a 3-minute YouTube video). We will have all-day passes to visit the Museum and then we'll enjoy a superb dinner "Under the Stars and Surrounded by Glass" on their amazing rooftop plaza.

Other included activities for the week are:

  • Welcome night cocktails in Del Mar Basin
  • Admission and dinner at the new Catalina Island Museum - Avalon (click here for details)
  • “Avalon Open Golf Tournament” (mini-golf)
  • Annual Disk-Golf Challenge & Buffalo-sighting Competition
  • Texting Bingo

Of course, our semi-professional “Cruise Directors” will help you enjoy your week aboard the Catalina Cruise to Adventure by offering the following athletic and recreational activities throughout your voyage:

  • Walks & hikes on secluded beaches& hillsides
  • Kayak and Stand-up Paddleboard Clinics (culminating in a race late in the trip)
