Married in 1974, John and Deb Rogers had a dream to voyage to Tahiti aboard their own sailboat. Two careers, three boys, a half dozen boats and 38 years later, John and Deb cast off the docklines in Jacksonville, Florida aboard Moonshadow, a Deerfoot 62. Since then they have logged 31,000 nautical miles over six years exploring 12 US states and 22 countries. Their voyage took them along the US East Coast from Florida to Maine; the Carribean; Central America; and the South Pacific. Early this year, Moonshadow was shipped from Brisbane, Australia back to North America and SDYC.
