Join us for a fun and relaxing time at the October 18th thru 20th La Playa Raft Up Cruise! 

Note: Cancelation required by October 11 for Old Venice Saturday Meal only. There is a maximum registration, so please sign up early.

Schedule of events:

Friday October 18th

  • Arrive at La Playa Cove: Starting at 9 AM and join the raft up. Have your bow and stern anchors easily available as some will need to drop a hook!
  • Contact Martin Buser or Gregg Wickstrand on VHF channel 68 on your way over to learn your location on the raft up. Martin is available on his cell at (858) 344-1060 and Gregg at (760) 685-3140.
  • Dinner at 5:45 PM: Dine Friday night at SDYC. We will have a special section for the fleet cruisers. You will be able to order what you want and charge food and beverages to your club account. In order to handle the size of our party, the SDYC needs to have a final list of attendees by October 11, 2019.

Saturday October 19th

  • 9 AM: BYO… Paddle Board, Stand Up Board, Kayak or ? and join us for a paddle around La Playa Cove.
  • Other activities will be shared once we get closer to the event date and have a better forecast on the weather.
  • Dinner 5:30 PM: Meet at Old Venice restaurant in Point Loma. We will have three entrees to choose from and a cash bar. Your cancellation is required by October 11 and after that, would be non-refundable. Dinner will be approx $53.00 including tax and tip and will be charged to your member account.

Sunday October 20th

  • 11 AM: Disembark to your home slip when ready.
  • Important: Remember to also sign up with the Port of San Diego to reserve your anchoring permit. Here is the link: http://reservations.portofsandiego.org/boating/index.asp
  • If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will cancel all events except the Old Venice dinner Saturday night. You will be notified by email. Keeping our figures crossed!

 

Saturday Night, Old Venice Menu:

All Entrées include:

  • Old Venice garden salad (roma tomato, marinated red onion, feta cheese & pepperoncini, gourmet greens, pineapple balsamic vinaigrette)
  • Garlic Bread

Entrée Choices:

  • Chicken Picatta (boneless breast of chicken, lemon, butter, white wine, caper sauce, garlic sauteed vegetables)
  • Broccoli Gorgonzola Rigatoni (garlic, oniono, broccoli, walnut & roma tomato, gorgonzola cream sauce, rigatoni pasta)
  • Meat Lasagna (italian sausage, beef, ricotta & aged cheeses, layered lasagna noodle, marinara sauce)

Desserts (includes coffee service, regular or decaffeinated French roast)

  • Tiramisu  Layered dark chocolate shavings, rum dipped lady fingers, marscapone cheese
  • Old Venice Cookie w/ vanilla bean gelato
  • Lava Cake
