ABOUT THE BOAT:
Built by Carroll Marine, Farr design, 60' length. Was a day racer before coming to San Diego in July of 2007. Have only raced it in Hot Rum Series, finishing 8th overall. Crew of approximately 17.

ABOUT THE CREW:
The crew is San Diego based. Ben Mitchell, Peter Isler, Jerry and Andy LaDow are well known SDYC members. Dave Culver is an experienced captain living in San Diego. Jake LaDow is a product of the SDYC Junior Program with little 'big boat' experience. Steve Pickle is an all around sailor working with Vince Brun. He is a J-24 champ and Etchells sailor when not on the 'Circuit'. Rives Potts owns Brewers Yachts and lives in CT. Ralphie Stietz is a Director of the US Maritime Sailing Program at Kings Point. John Bell has sailed a bit in North Carolina, San Diego and will help with cooking and chores. David Tank is a very experienced big boat sailor in all types of boats from Farr 40 to AC boats.

WHAT'S IN A NAME:
The "Stars & Stripes" name came from the 1987 AC program.
