Welcome to the Southern California Junior Olympic Festival

Entry Fees:
Included in the $90.00 per competitor entry fee is:
T-Shirt For all competitors who register before 7/13/04, a t-shirt will be waiting for you at the registration desk. Sign up early!

Lunch and Snacks
Water, sandwich, fruit, chips, desert* will be supplied every race day (Fri, Sat, Sun)
Lunches will be distributed to sailors on the water. There will be snack waiting on the dock after sailing each day.

Friday Night
Join us in the SDYC Pool Pavilion Friday night for dinner*, island style, …Extra dinner tickets can be purchased online entry form for $18.00. See you on the SDYC Pool Pavilion at 6:00pm. *Competitors will be given a wristband that will identify them as part of the regatta and give them access to everything included with their entry fee.

Sunday Night
Prize Giving Trophies will be awarded Sunday, after sailing…some cool raffle prizes too.

 

SDYC Dining Hours
LUNCH 11:30 noon to 2:00 pm served on the in the Pool Pavilion
and in the main dining room and bar.
DINNER 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm served on the deck, bar and main dining room.
SNACK BAR Pool Pavilion 12:00 noon to 3:30 pm

Members of clubs with reciprocal privileges may set up a guest account at SDYC. You must have a guest account to be able to dine in the main clubhouse. Dining in the pool pavilion is possible on a cash basis.


 

Spare Gear and Equipment
Prior to leaving the Club for the racecourse, please store your gear safely in your car. Items left in the restrooms or boatyard will be removed. Please be advised that the club is not responsible for theft any kind and assumes no liability for boats and their gear.


Parking
SDYC will provide boat parking. Our parking lot is reserved for our members. We will make every effort to assist you in finding spots for your cars, however please expect to park outside of the front gate.

Each regatta also attracts its own local sponsors.

The JO program is coordinated by US SAILING, the sport's National Governing Body (NGB) located in Portsmouth, R.I. The mission of this volunteer organization is to encourage participation and promote excellence in sailing and racing in the United States.

About the Junior Olympics.
• This event is one of 25 regional USA Junior Olympic Sailing Festivals, from Maine to Hawaii and Florida to Washington state.

• Two-thirds of the national governing bodies for Olympic sports in the U.S. have Junior Olympic programs, involving over 3,500,000 participants annually.


• Goals of Junior Olympic Sailing Festivals: to introduce young people to the fun and excitement of sailing to encourage young sailors to enjoy racing, and to promote a lifelong interest in sailing.
