BOAT NAME: Senjero
BOAT TYPE: Nordhavn 60 SKIPPERS: Neil & Elaine Williamson EXPERIENCE: 30 Years
BUILT: 2005 PURCHASED: 2005
FAVORITE DESTINATION:
We really enjoy Desolation Sound and the Broughtons because of the dramatic scenery and fiords, and we also love the stark beauty of the Sea of Cortez and its abundant sea life.
FAVORITE BOATING EXPERIENCE: Once off the coast of Mexico, within a 30 minute segment, we were surrounded by hundreds of dolphins followed by jumping rays and a large turtle with a bird standing on its back.
ABOUT THE CREW: Our crew will consist of our beagle "Cody" who doesn't mind doing the late midnight to 3 am "dog watch" ...(just kidding). Besides myself and my wife Elaine, we will have my brother David and his wife Elke with us.
WHAT'S IN A NAME: "SENJERO"
"Senjero" is a made-up name loosely based on a foreign word that means wanderer or traveler.
REASON FOR PURCHASING THIS BOAT:
We bought our Nordhavn because of their great reputation for sea-worthiness and their long distance capabilities.
PREVIOUS BOATS OWNED:
Our previous boats were sailboats. We owned an Ericson 38, and a Contest 50 (which was a Dutch built boat that we took delivery of in Holland).
INTEREST IN THE FUBAR ODYSSEY:
We participated in the first FUBAR and loved it! We like the fun of traveling with other boats, the social activities, and meeting interesting new friends along the way.
