Sailors should be comfortable tacking and jibing in 10+
knots and be prepared for a 3½ hour race.
All entrants must fly the appropriate colored ribbon for
their class from the clew of their sail such that it is
visible to the Race Committee at the finish.
Any persons wishing to go on an escort vessel please attend
the "Safety Escort Vessel Brief". There is no
designated "Spectator Boat". All spectators
are responsible for their own transportation back to SDYC.
Any escort vessel rendering assistance to a sailor must
notify the Race Committee by VHF Ch. 68 of the competitor’s
sail number as soon as possible.
Boats capsized and not wishing to continue or boats withdrawing
from the race prior to leaving La Playa Cove may be returned
to SDYC or SWYC race dock. These boats will be the responsibility
of the sailor’s club.
Participating Yacht Clubs must provide one "Safety
Escort Vessel"; capable of rescuing capsized Sabots,
for every ten entrants
As guests of SDYC and CYC, we request your cooperation
and assistance in loading Sabots on trailers and help picking
up all trash.
