Regatta Chair: Danielle Richards

On behalf of the host yacht clubs and organizing committee I want to welcome to the 2010 US SAILING Chubb US Junior National Sailing Championship.  The San Diego Association of Yacht Clubs Junior Activities Committee is unique in the country for the cooperative effort we have in running major junior events and this is no exception.  While you may only visit three of our member clubs during the event individuals from all will be helping out.

San Diego has a long history of hosting major championship events and training world class sailors and we are excited to have you here.

Make sure you keep checking back to this website for updates, news and once the event gets underway for live results, pictures and videos.  Even though you may be thousands of miles away we want you to feel like you are here with the sailors.

San Diego Mayor: Jerry Sanders

On behalf of the citizens of San Diego, it is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest greetings to the participants and guests of the 2010 Chubb U.S. Junior Sailing Championship. Over the next three days, you will have an opportunity to compete against and enjoy the company of 93 of the Nation's top junior sailors, ranging from the ages of 13-19 years old. I'm certain that this event will be an exciting and memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

We are delighted that you have chosed Point Loma and Mission Bay in America's Finest City for your event. For those of you visiting from other areas, I invite you to explore our beautiful city during your stay here. San Diego is full of history and diverse cultures, and home to famous venues such as the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Midway Carrier Museum, Sea World, and many museums, parks, beaches and restaurants that I know you will find very enjoyable.

Good luck to all the participants, and please accept my best wishes for a very successful Chubb U.S. Junior Sailing Championship and pleasant stay in San Diego. I hope you will come back and visit us again soon.
