ARRIVAL AT THE SAILING SITE

Early arrival will not be allowed. All the clubs assisting with this event have other racing and program commitments prior to the regatta. Competitors are not to arrive at the San Diego YC / Mission Bay YC / Southwestern YC prior to 1100 Saturday August 14, 2010. Being "invited" by an MBYC / SDYC / SWYC member is not an exception to this rule. Violations will be dealt with strictly by the Organizing Committee and may be passed to the Protest Committee. Please do not arrive before 1300 Saturday August 14, 2010…period.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation to the San Diego Yacht Club will not be provided from San Diego International (SAN). Cloud 9 Shuttle will provide transportation to/from San Diego Yacht Club and San Diego International for competitors. Average rate is $14 each way. Sailors should plan to arrive between 1100 – 1500 hrs on Saturday August 14. Flights should not be scheduled prior to 2100 hrs on Wednesday August 18th. Specific details will be available after registration is complete. Requests for Thursday afternoon or Friday departures must be made in writing to hoodsails@aol.com.

FLIGHTS

Flights should be scheduled in to San Diego International Airport after 1100 Saturday August 14, 2010. San Diego (SAN) is a major airport serviced by most airlines. It is less than 10 minutes away from San Diego & Southwestern Yacht Clubs and easy to arrive into.

DRIVING

Sailors arriving by car will be required to leave their car at SDYC and surrender their keys to the Host for the duration of the event. Daily transportation will be provided for all competitors.

HOUSING

Accommodations will be provided. Breakfast will be provided between 0730 and 0830 hrs each morning. Alternative housing for competitors will not be permitted.
