Ahoy Cruising Fleet members. It is a strange year indeed. The Del Mar Basin Cruise was canceled due to restrictions on use of the basin. So, we have moved the cruise to Mission Bay, Mariners Basin. This will be an individual anchor event, July 24-26.
Dining options seem to be in flux. We know MBYC cannot take us as a group; though, they will do take out orders for individuals to be eaten on the beach or boats. We are researching other eating opportunities. More to come.
We will have Justin Edelman of Nobleman Productions on board Keet taking pictures and videos of the flotilla going to Mission Bay. The goal is to have everyone, or as many as possible out at the SD Buoy (#1) at noon on Friday, July 24, so Justin can take pictures and videos of the group taking off to Mission Bay. Probably heading northwest at first, so sailboats can use sails and then head toward MB. Even if your timing is different or you do not go to Mission Bay you can join in the flotilla picture so your boat gets in the lime light. Weather permitting drone photos/videos will be taken and some might end up displayed on our Cruising Fleet photo board or web page.
Justin is able to take individual shots of a boat should you care to purchase a picture or video of your boat. If you are interested please contact him directly in advance at Nobleman Productions, www.noblemanproductions.com in order to work out the details with him. Price will vary with the number of shots and/or the complexity of a video.
Please sign up if you think you will be joining in so we can have some idea of the numbers. Activities may include dingy cocktail cruises, SUP races and tours and lessons, triathlons (sure). Bring your boogie board and ride the wild surf of Mission Beach.
