Kiwi Larry Keating reported on four Olympic Games and ten America’s Cup regattas from 1987 to 2017.
He has competed in regattas all over the world including crewing aboard NCB Ireland in the 1989/90 Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race.
With an RYA Off-shore Yacht-Masters ticket, he and his wife Deborah cruised European waters for 11 summers aboard their private yacht Chinano from 2006-16.
Between 1982 and the late 1990’s Larry was a roving reporter for TV & Radio networks around the world including BBC, USA’s ABC –FOX Australia, Riviera 104 Monaco and SABC South Africa.
An historian on the America’s Cup, he has produced many documentaries on the subject and co-written a book entitled ‘EXPOSED’ The Dark Side of the America’s Cup.
Larry will be speaking to us about his experience writing, producing, filming and archiving the Americas Cup.
