Rear Admiral Lindsey has been referred to as the "Navy Mayor" of San Diego in 2016 after taking the helm of Navy Region Southwest, overseeing a six-state region with 11 installations and 83,000 personnel. Prior to that, Lindsey was the commandant of Naval District Washington and commanding officer of Naval Base Coronado. The Rear Admiral has had many exciting duty assignments around the world, including three deployments to Antarctica and two to the Arabian Gulf.
