The timing and locations where most boats will be together starts Friday, Sept 8ᵗʰ for 5 days on the island at Two Harbors and Whites Landing, the SDYC Buffalo Beach Facility. Although we are not able to reserve group gatherings the Restaurants are open for us to make individual reservations at similar times. The Island beaches and trails are open. Signs will be posted with the current restrictions.
Two boats are planning coastal stopovers before travelling to the island. For the Two Harbors Weekend none of the Skippers listed Emerald Bay as their planned mooring location. 4 listed the Main Isthmus while 3 listed the outer coves to try to reserve their mooring. The boat and skipper information we have so far is listed on the next page.
Although we are a small group this year we have an active 5 day weekend planned at both locations with challenging competitions complete with very impressive prizes. There will be rules and part of your challenge is to test their flexibility to see how far the rules will bend before your cruise captain declares you broke one. We will ask you to use your water toys or dinghies for some events and others will be on land. Detailed information packets with times and locations will be delivered to the boats on Friday, Sep 11ᵗʰ. including the discs for disc golf.
